Unrevoked will not work for you because that vulnerability has been patched. Check out our 2.3.5 rooting guide for information on rooting

okay.... i got nowhere specially since ur ""frenchy714" comment link, it has good instructions but their links dont exist

My major problem here is..... I need help with the ""DIAG"" drivers.....
ive tried looking for them my self...... the 64 bit version but each time i tried installing them... my computer would have an error message saying to check and make sure their for a 64 bit operating system

okay well i tried installing the drivers manually but an error message comes out and says;
"the folder specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based system"

lol so this became a thanking button thread??
lol.... i still need help with this :/

You're right, this thread did veer off topic a bit. It was a general comment that wasn't directed towards anyone in particular. With all the knowledgeable members we have here, I'm confident you'll get your issue resolved. Please keep us posted.

it doesnt detect it as an android.... it says unknown device....

ok i got it to work!
first method just install HTC Sync and uninstall it.

but if that doesnt work

you can try the files im going to attach to this thread. unzip it and put them on your desktop and leave them there. plug in phone, put it in DIAG mode (##3424#). now click start, right click computer, click manage. go to the device manager tab and you will see unknown. right click the unknown driver, select properties, then click update driver, next click manually and select the folder you put on your desktop and it should install. now you should see your phone under modems. now it will show up on cdma workshop and qpst. (mine is under COM16 if you want to know your just right click your phone in device manager and select properties and check under Modem tab, it will say COM:xx)
