Root need help flashing rom optimus m

im trying to flah a new rom to my phone and i cant figure out how... i have rooted my phone i have super user power but when i try to boot into recovery mode it just does a master reset of my phone. so im stuck at this point

are you sure recovery is on the phone

yes but when i try to reboot the phone into recovery mode it just does the factory restore it actually wont bring up the boot screen were i can flash the new rom in.

That means that custom recovery is not installed on your phone. If your phone came with 2.2.1 the custom recovery is on my signature. LOL If need help pm me

If your pressing the vol power an home buttons for recovery there is an easier way.

download anreboot from the market. select reboot recovery and give it root privileges.
