Help Need Help LG Motion 4G PPP Configuration

Hello

I need to use QPST to edit the PPP Config option on my phone and put an option in Simple IP Only, but it wont let me.

I live in Dominican Republic and I bought this phone on ebay and i can't get the 3g connection to work with my network provider cause i can't change the PPP Configuration, even when it lets me edit it and the cell phone reboots and everything after i do it, but the cellphone does not hold the things i've edited, it always holds the default settings after rebooting.

I managed to change the PRL and put my MIN, MMC and MNC so i can talk, but it does not want to give me the 3G connection.

Someone help me please, i'm kind of despered.

Isn't this kinda illegal?

Your carrier probably needs to flip 3G on. What carrier is this exactly?
 
I bought it on ebay with no activation. My carrier does have the 3G on, thats why i need to set the PPP Config tab on QPST with my provider settings.
 
More info:
I can't use my number if the metropcs card isn't inserted or if there is one from other carrier obviously it is locked, be sides I have an app that give me Sim info and it sais "network lock"

:hmmmm2: but still in the same page with the ppp configuration? i can edit it but when it reset all setting go back to default.
 
I founded some hidden menus with Titanium, in the list it presents to do backups, but how do i do shortcuts of them in orden to open them from my home screen?
 
Managed to do it, but when i tried to open one it says: the applications is not installed, or something like that.

Any thoughts?
 
hola amigo soy de mexico tengo un metro pcs ms840 a mi me pasa igua
l pero he podido configurar una parte del PPp config pero solo funciona en 1x no en 3g (evdo) y es muy lento tambien necesito desbloquear
la configuracion ya

lograste hacerlo si necesitas q te ayuda a configurar 1x te puedo ayudar

remember that in this forum we are supposed to write in english, so...

tell me what you want to unlock, if it is the sim lock, i have found this two option in the secret menu:
secret menu code: ##5473784236368 + SEND
enter you SPC
go to an option called ICC Activation Setting and select "Activation Off"
then, go back and go to the botton and select NETWORK LOCK, uncheck it.

After that you'll be able to use the phone without the sim card, or with another one but it will be not of any use, a least for me.

Now, how you managed to edit the PPP configuration on your LG and get 1x?
 
With a lot of search and a lot of changing settings i managed to get 1x :) , now of course i want 3G!. If some one can come up with an idea it will be appreciated.
 
I might give you an insight on what keeps changing the ppp params to the factory, but are you even able to get 3G signals? When i switch to evdo only mode, it doesnt show any signals. Please check by performing the following steps:
Tyoe ##626*
Enter your msl
Network mode -> EVDO Only
Now check if your phone stoll receive any signals or not, if it does then go to settings-about phone-status and check what network type your phone shows.
 
When i set EVDO only mode, it go out of signal for a few seconds and then go back to CDMA only.

There is others phones working on 3g near me, so i know there is 3g coverage but in the status it says 1xRTT:6

what's your insight about the ppp matter?
 
There are few nv item locations which are needed to be written as zero in order to retain the values which you are going to write without a reboot. Well it seems like the EVDO issue is with all motions which are flashed to different carrier.
 
Which NV items? I changed the 39939 to 0 and i think i did the same with the the 0844 but not sure about that one. Do you know others that need to be change?

Other thing, are you able to get calls when you are connected to 1x? Cause I'm not
 
You will not get any calls while connected to 1x, reason being that the data connections dials #777 for session and hence if someone calls you, they will get a busy tone.
