Help need help please

Im having an issue were when I turn my phone off it will turn back on automatically. Its kinda random. One night it will do it one night it won't. Its a non rooted DROID x with the official gingerbread release.
 
i cant believe no one responded to this.

but its just a minor error, it happens to me occasionally, i cant explain it, i have always been rooted and romed, so mine is a stock dx.

it hasnt happened to me in a while though

give it about a week and if your phone continues to do it then report back to us or pm me and let me know and we will see what we can do about getting your phone working the way you want it :)
 
this happens to my phone when i have it plugged in to charge, but not when turned off under battery alone. something to think about....
 
I wonder if its kind of related to the issue where you'll sometimes get spontaneous reboots while plugged-in via the USB cable (I had this happen this past weekend). I know there was a particular app that was supposedly contributing to this, but I don't think that's the case on my phone.

Perhaps its a firmware issue? Dunno.

Just a thought...
 
It has happened on my phone several times since the GB update. On mine it has only happened when on battery alone, not plugged in via usb though.
 
its not the touchscreen going bad, the phone is being turned off. and it reboots, it thinks it needs to reboot, so it initiates a reboot sequence instead of a shutdown. i am with alien its possibly something in the firmware of GB, froyo gave us random spontaneous reboots, GB gives us random spontaneous restarts... lol
