Root Need help plz, stuck on bootloader screen.

I've done a bit of research but for the sake of my battery im ganna go ahead and ask for help right quick.

I wanted to update to the newer 2.3.3 (4.5.596) GB.
Was currently on 2.2.1 Froyo Liberty 1.5.
I SBF to 2.3.340 Stock thinking I could just update after getting back to stock. But now im stuck at Boot loader after an error is RSD lite. I can not get into recovery, it will ONLY boot into bootloader. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: did a SBF to VRZ_MB810_1.13.6.2_1FF_01.sbf. MEP_MAP Blank, but battery: OK.
So its charging but still stuck in boot loader and WILL NOT get into recovery.

I'm on my phone now so cant get you links but look around this section for the linux method for sbf'ing. Sbf it that way and then root with z4root and put droid 2 bootstrap in and flash the two file method of 596.

That should get you up and going again. And be sure to data wipe/factory reset after you flash gb but before you leave recovery.

Food for thought. Always make a backup when you have a fresh clean install before you flash any new roms or themes. And when you have a rom, in your case you were running liberty, always do a factory reset then sbf back to stock. It will make sure you get those rom files out.

Thanks for your input. But I tried .340 and it kept failing/get stuck in bootloader. Only one that worked for me was .320

Thanks again for your help

The 2.3.320 sbf file was used a while ago before Android 2.2 came out. It's no longer needed. That was for when everyone was running Android 2.1.

You need the sbf file for Android version 2.2.1 as that is what you are running. Skip RSDlite if it's giving you trouble and go with the Linux cd. Follow the directions to the letter.
