it should reboot your phone like 3 times , then you can install CWM from rom manager

remember im running on zvd i wonder if thats the problem

thats weird it should work, delete any root files that you downloaded and re download the .zip files that ldrifta had posted above cause thats the right root method for zvc/zvd. Make a folder on your desktop and extract the .zip file to the new folder. Turn off uac from control panel and user setting and reboot your system. Cause some anti virus software might see it as a threat and delete the files needed for the Root exploit to work.

Go to setting on your phone andand tap Connectivity and tap Default connection mode and choose Internet connection and restart your phone while its not plug in to the pc.

when you plug in your phone to the pc and both had restarted go to Device manager and see if you see this.

Look at the status bar on the phone and you should see 2 icons, usb and debugging look below at the pic.

no once you disable uac it want reactivate on it's own, there no virus scanning software install is there? Cause you need to turn them off before downloading and extracting the .zip file.

Make sure drivers were installed correctly and your firewall isn't blocking the phone.
