Root need help to root my lg esteem please

this is as far as it goes and i have installed and uninstalled drivers have set the debug and internet connection

how long should it take to start the process and i keep getting this also when i plug in my Esteem

Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37) which goes with this -----> AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB Interface

Have you tried changing the storage on the phone? From internet to mass or charge to mass to see if that helps?

Whenever you plug the phone it and it starts it does take a minute to get started. After 5 minutes something is wrong.
 
also in windows you need to turn off the automatic driver download. Windows will attempt to installed incorrect drivers. If the above doesn't work then try turning off that feature then delete all the drivers in hardware manager and in add/remove programs
 
After you install the drivers, if you can go to mass storage on your phone and it show up on your pc as an internal and external drive then everything should be fine. Without the hardware install you wouldnt be able to access your phone from your pc.

What's your OS on your PC?

i did all that was suggested it does read the mass storage then i switched back and forth. i uninstall the drives and checked that windows does not check for driver updated it self and still get the same result

does the root download anything from somewhere ? could it be that im at 3G ? been over 5 minutes and no full start just whats above.

yes i have mrpnut i was on the old MS910ZVB and i updated to the MS910ZVC with no problems just seems like it wont root.

i have used the http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/500491-root-lg-esteem-zvc.html

and it just hangs there at

* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

after 10 minutes and nothing

Trying to recall what prompted it but with the phone plugged in.."autorun" E drive...popped up...click to autorun and when you click to root phone will be recognized.

so basiclly need to make like an install disk? that will auto run the root?
 
i appreciate this but like you said you need some zzzz's ill check back here later today when your all rested and i thank you again for all the help your giving me :D
 
The only phone I have had to root for C version was done right after set up was completed for ADB. But having two instances show in the previous post is buggin me.
Mind you I am on Win 7 64...ADB is installed on my C(hard disk) not within Windows(Thanks to nuttmeg;))
I show no instance of it even running in task manager since of coarse it is not running through Windows

Not sure if this is why you are having issues but could be.

Try this first before reinstalling ADB(hopefully a easy solution):D

First though this what I was referring to last AM...when I downgraded and factory reset my phone a few days ago I had the drivers installed as you do...but ran into the somewhat the same issue you are having, phone was not truly recognized.:mad:
When you first plug the phone in this appears:

Mind you while phone is in "Mass Storage" mode before one would change to "Internet Connection" to root.
Run the RunAutoRun.exe when it pops up and try to root again.
FINGERS CROSSED LOL:)
 
That popup that's displaying auto play my PC does not do that when i hook up my USB cord and mass storage i just get little tool tip bubbles.

That don't help at all brother....when you get a chance recreate the window and post it up please. Hopefully it doesn't look like this:eek:

can't tell for sure if everything worked out or not.

In case it didn't:

temporarily uninstall all security apps / modules, to wit anything that scans your installing apps....usually you'll get a message 'xx app is safe'....

could be a setting in anything from firewall to tweaker....

firewall, android booster, droid guard, sheep guard, etc.

I'll be trying everything Friday night since i don't work that day and will be updating to the new lg update before i start so i don't have to root twice lol in case it roots and at the moment i'm stock only thing i have is net flix installed

Will do thanks again for all the help you've been giving me. Only time i'm able to get the use of a PC is Friday or Monday those are my days off rest of the time i work grave yard shifts and use my phone to be on here lol
