Help Need help with email app

Lurker
I use the standard HTC mail application and have a few accounts set up on it. I am very consistent about reading the email and deleting messages off the device, along with clearing the trash folders. However, I have noticed that the space the "Mail" is taking up under Managing Apps is getting larger and larger - and there is NO way to clear the data. Does anyone know how to fix this? I had a similar problem with my Gmail, but was able to clear the data and re-sign in. That gained me about 5MB of space back. I am sure I could do something similar with the other (It says it is 24.25MB).

Your options are limited with out being able to clear cache and dalvic. You could search the market for a cleaner that has the abiltiy to remove the files. I'm not sure if you can delete the accounts and then go back with the data removed or not. One thing you can try to do is force close the mail app this should allow you to clean data once the app is closed.
