So I rooted my phone and then downloaded the paid version of rom manager...... the problem Im having is when I attempt to download any of the dj05 roms. After the rom downloads and goes into system recovery it gives me a warning in red:

E: failed to verify whole-life signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted

this happens with any rom I try to download. I do have the current clockware manager flashed and downloaded as well. Can someone please help? I have searched high and low on the internet for hours.......

thanks

I downloaded the files straight from rom manager. I was under the impression I didnt need to do any of that??? Isnt that the whole point of rom mgr? And im on a mac......

Great question the error in the OP, occurs when clockwork is not truly installed correctly

Thanks saps, I am trying to return all the help you guys gave me when I first came on board. :)

Ah yeah you still need to get clockwork on there manually. For Mac try this: [GUIDE] CWRecovery for MAC Users - xda-developers

Not sure if you are familiar with VMware but you can run VMware fusion on a Mac and then fire up a windows vm for the wintel based software a well.

Ok, thanks for the help....... I will definitely try to get it done.

many phones can install cwr directly from rom manager...because of the nature of our semi-locked bootloader when koush built recovery (and then ditched us) he used the update.zip method to bypass it (voodoo recovery now eliminates this, but thats a whole nother issue)

initial cwr on our phones has to be computer installed...theres no way around this :o
