Root Need help with root!!!

So i desided to root my phone but the other day i did an update that jr313 showed us on a different post this is what i found "http://www.multiupload.com/MQ9T311U50 here ya go for the non root ppl! Enjoy! once downloaded place it on ur sdcard and rename it to PG05IMG boot into hboot and itll do the rest...make sure u have a full battery or pretty close after intall erase from sdcard" so now that i have done that i got throught steps 1-6 from here [Exclusive] How To Root The HTC ThunderBolt And Unlock Its Bootloader | Android News, Reviews, Apps, Games, Phones, Tablets, Tips, Mods, Videos, Tutorials - Android Police and when i got to the end of step 6 it told me that my output was wrong and that i needed to redue everything is there something that i need to skip since i did the update the other day or what do i need to do to get this rooted? thanks for taking the time to check this out and helping

Now that im trying to redo it when i place the RUU file Renamed PG05IMG.zip to into the phone and do the reboot it doesnt find anything to update any ideas?
 
Make sure it's spelled correctly. PG05IMG.zip in your post above looks like it's a "1" and not an "I"
 
Did you rename it with the .zip on the end? Windows will hide the .zip part, so if you renamed the file with the .zip on the end then you will end up with a file named PG05IMG.zip.zip which will not be recognized. You need to remove the extra .zip and try again.

Yeah I did that too I made sure it was what it should have been just like the video showed

Or are you saying to not put the .zip there that it should already be there? So the file name should look like PG05IMG not PG05IMG.zip because when I renamed it it only has the one .zip

Yes. That'swhat he's saying. Also make sure its on the root of the sd card
