Root NEED ROM in tar. format for ODIN

what version of odin are you using?

I tried on the 3.04 and 3.09.

I was having the same problem, but I finally got it to work.

VanVon, this is what I did:

Use Odin 3.04. Unplug phone, power off, then reboot into download mode (Home+Power+Volume down. Hold until the yellow triangle shows up.)

Plug in phone, open Odin as an Admin (Windows8.)

Flash either PlayfulGod's version, or OUDH's reverb_system_boot_LK2.tar. Wait until its done, then pull battery, and reboot.


That should get you a working stock rom.

Scratch that. Odin tells me everything has passed, but when I unplug and reboot, the Samsung screen shows up with the yellow ! triangle, and then continues to just a black screen. I'm not sure what happened, but I heard the VM jingle the first time, so I thought everything was good.


Anyone have a fix or an idea for the black screen issue?

Oh trust me bru, I tried every possible combination I could with Odin 3.04, 3.07, and 3.09, it all failed me.
