Need some advice

I'm currently still on my month trial of sprint with my Epic. I am switching from Att and that contract runs out in March. I wanted to switch early because at&t has been really getting on my nerves. After having this for a month I Love it, problem is though I started reading about the galaxy s 2 and now I'm thinking of returning this and waiting out the rest of my at&t to see if there is anything better out by then. What should I do? I would hate to spend this much on a phone then have one twice as good come out within three to five months.

Technology will always be replaced by something better and faster. If you wait, you'll always end up waiting and will never get anything.

Is it worth it to pay the ETF with AT&T to switch to Sprint/Epic... that's a question that only you can decide. :)

To me if sprint is paying you can't go wrong. You are right with thinking some other phone may be better by then, but as kelmar stated you always will be waiting because something is always better around the corner. The epic is a solid phone and will not be a short lived phone and will be getting at least 2 upgrades in the os department. And if another phone catches your eye down the road you can always sell your epic to help cover for the other phone. And you will be getting better service to boot imo. There is a reason why att has been ranked last out of the 4 major carriers for a while and now their cash cow is gone who knows how they will be in the future. Good luck in whatever you choose. :-)

Technology is always getting better. I just ordered and Epic because, after a lot of research, it seemed like the Epic had the best hardware for a smartphone available RIGHT NOW. I know better ones will come out soon but I'm also hoping the Epic will last me because it's so powerful. Besides, the nice thing about it having been out for a few months is that you can get such great deals on it. You wouldn't have found it for $100 if it had been brand new.

If the Nexus One was any indication the android experience will be better on the Nexus S. I say if you can get one go for it.

Everyone with the epic is trying to figure out when they'll go to 2.2. The Nexus S guys are already above that.

The Epic's staggered OS path is a deliberate incentive for users to choose the Nexus Two iteration, since the hardware differences aren't great enough to justify the switch. Not a permanent issue and not an indication of which phone to choose unless you crave gingerbread immediately and refuse to root.

I prefer Sprint as a carrier and the Epic for its keyboard. My other question would be if the DAC were better and video out weren't similarly gimped.

I would wait for at least CES, which is only a few weeks away, Jan 9th, i believe.

yeah.. if you can wait till CES.. so then you can know what you are holding out for...

also.. new phone coming out... does not mean it is coming to Sprint!!!

Also announced at CES does not mean it is coming out right away. It might take months for it to reach the market.
