Root Need some help...

Hello,

Well I turned on my phone yesterday to try to text some and go online ,but I couldn't do either i got error codes 64, 67. So i tried to call them ,but it gave me a recording saying it couldn't connect to my VM account and to call VM. So I called VM and they couldn't do anything ,but the power on and off tip... They escalated it ,but I have virtually no trust with VM and tech support. So any thoughts on how to fix this?

**Some Notes**
1. I am running the mobster HD rom
2. I have no internet, texting, or phone ,but I have paid my phone bill.

You're dead in the water. I would run the ruu or flash a different Rom and see what happens.
You can get back to where you are now in a couple of hours or less.
 
SHould I tray a factory reset? and how would unload the rom? (do I reboot into bootloader?)
 
I don't remember mobster, but is there an update prl, and update profile option?

Have you tried that yet.

If that doesn't work flash another ROM like harmonia.
 
s-off and there is no update profile or prl option with mobster hd...

You can try a factory reset. Do that by booting into your bootloader, then select recovery. From your recovery choose a factory reset. If it doesn't boot up, just wipe everything and reflash the rom. I'm not sure exactly what those errors mean, but if it's data related you might try updating profile and prl. Make a backup of your current rom if you want to, flash something stock (like adam said) like harmonia, do the update and then go back to your other rom.

If you factory reset do it through recovery.

Since your soff you can flash the ruu through boot loader with a pg86img.zip
So if nothing else works, make a backup then flash the pg86img, that will put you completely stock and you can update your phone.

This will not change s off

So when you get going again all you need to do is flash a recovery through adb and restore or flash new rom
 
How about flashing the stock rom would that work and save all my info? If so how would I flash the stock rom?

Contacts should be through Google
Photos/music SD card
Maybe tibu for games
??

If you factory reset or flash a new ROM, it'll be the same things you need to backup
 
Idk what to do then... VM and you are guys are telling me to factory reset ,but the guys in the mobster hd from are telling me to flash stock.

If i factory reset it how would I? I have absolutely no clue on how to get to bootloader. I'm guessing i restart into bootload ,but where would I go from there? preferably step by step.

So, did someone root, and get you soff?

Factory reset isn't going to reset anything except app data and such

If you flash a stock ROM, like harmonia, there is an option to upgrade prl and profile
That may work

If you run ruu, you essentially flash THE stock ROM and recovery. Now you can completely update your phone.

Reflash your custom recovery
Flash superuser or a new ROM or stay stock

To run ruu.....

DL that file
Put it on the root of your SD card
Rename it pg86img.zip
Shut your phone off
Hold volume down and power
Accept and wait
 
Believe it or not I did rooted and S-OFFed it somehow. Plus I want to flash just the VM rom..

also how do i get there?
Is it any of these?
1. reboot the shell.
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Reboot into bootloader

Ok im in the 4 ext recovery do i go? I can't find wipe everything except from SD card option.. Is it fromat all partitions (except sd card?)

Did you notice the first thing I suggested above?

MAKE A BACKUP FIRST

This way, you can restore the backup and then save some of your info if you end up losing it.
 
Okay, here's what you need to do:
1) Download MyBackupPro or Titanium Backup, and back up all of your user apps.
2) Download and run the RUU from your computer.
3) Boot into your fully stock ROM.
4) Download MyBackupPro or Titanium Backup, and restore all of your user apps.

Now you can run any of the codes/updates that Virgin Mobile asks you to.

If you want to try another ROM again, simply follow step two of my guide (with your phone booted into the HBOOT) to get your HBOOT back to the version it was. Then, install any ROM you want. I'd highly recommend installing Harmonia ROM after doing "step two" of my guide, then doing a profile update and PRL update from inside Harmonia. Let that "settle" for a bit (30 minutes to an hour), then flash whatever ROM you want.
