Need some suggestions.

Hi all,

I installed a custom ROM on my galaxy S2 and it works great! Except it doesnt.
It won't let me toggle Wi-Fi on, and it won't connect to a computer either. Because of this I can't put another ROM on to use that one and so on..

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to rectify the problem?

I'm using Resurrection Remix it would seem. This is the first time I have done this by the way. I got the phone off my friend who had it installed before, so it was already on the phone, so I just used that one instead of searching for one myself.

u can try copying the rom files into the sdcard via a card reader. then plugging the sd into the phone and flashing with recovery.

Okay cool. I've also noted one more thing - when someone phones me, I can't hang up if I answer, it's just a black screen. Everythings good if I make the call though. Do you think these problems (including the WiFi and USB connectivity) are the ROM, or have I completely ruined my phone I'll have a scoot around the forum and see about any other ROMs, but just out of curiosity, which are considered to be the best?

u tried disabling the proximity sensor under call settings? i have the same issue with proximity sensor on when my phone is in a arm pouch. apparently the plastic screen keeps the sensor active thus getting a black screen

I'd only consider 2. One is NEAT Rom, whose developer regularly visits these forums and helps out folks like yourself getting started. This ROM is based on the Samsung firmware.

The second one is RootBOX, which I personally use. That one is based on CM9 (hard to explain CM9), rather than Samsung firmware. This one has lots more tweaks and customisations but it might be a bit overwhelming if you are just starting out.
