Help Need tips for battery life

I was wondering if anyone had anytips or apps they could inform me about to conserve a little battery life. Because i could just be texting say for like 20 mins and my battery will drain very quickly and its annoying. Thanks

Is your phone stock, rooted, fully updated to 2.2.2? If it's rooted, what rom? Is it overclocked? We need more info.

Rooted/velocity 1.1/no overclocking

OMG i never ever got that not even when i got my phone new thats crazy maybe my battery is and was always junk mine dies so quickly to. Do you have the stock battery.

Stock battery purchased last July 1. Currently it's been up for 9 hours and is at 78%.

Honestly, the biggest thing you can do to boost battery life is get an extended battery.

I have had my battery since last august and i get close to 2 days out of my battery with casual use. Velocity tweaks plus a few of my own makes my phone great

I would do that but if people are getting like 10+ hours on a stock battery and im getting 2-4 maybe i should just buy another one

good idea. i also do have an extended battery.

You can also try getting rid of widgets,turning off WiFi,sync,screen brightness etc...also get rid of any task killers.
About forgot to mention wiping your batt stats may or may not help.

Go to settings, about phone, then battery use.

Then examine and look around. That should tell you if an app is running you down.

Have you tried Juice Defender? This app really helped me with extending my battery time.

The three biggest things I did to extend battery life were: 1) uninstall any app that just tracks the battery life 2) Stopped obsessing about the battery life! once I stopped checking it all the time and stopped fiddling with apps to prolong it, it extended 3) just accepted it's not like my flip phone and I need to charge it when I can. When I hop in the car, when I'm at home, when I'm at my gf's place (I left a charger there).
