Need to reset Digital 2 tablet

Hi: I have a digital 2 android tablet that needs to be returned (it's a terrible tablet). We have done everything to try to reset it and nothing works. It does NOT have volume buttons to use with the power button to reset. The volume buttons are on screen only. We have done the reset through settings, recovery through settings, pin in the reset hole and nothing works. We need to get our info off of this before we return. I am afraid to open it and remove the sd card.

Do you have any fixes for this??

just not worth the low cost.
