Root Need to root another triumph..

Well Last night I dropped my triumph on the concrete floor in the warehouse, now the screen is all f**ked up. I am looking for another MT, can I get a good used one off ebay that has the esn wiped clean, or should I get a refurbished one? Which would be better to root. Does my sd card have all my apps and photos on? Or will just a good used one work as well

I say get one from someone on the forum if you can- there are a ton of glitchy MTs floating around out there, so I thin you'd have better luck getting one from someone like PhRe4k that can confirm the thing is working like it should be.

Your photos will be on your sd card, but your apps were most likely in internal storage.

A nandroid backup should work after clearing the /cache and dalvik cache upon restore.

If you did that it should take a while to rebuild the caches, but should work mostly like flashing a ROM. It would be experimental, though. I would give it a try.

And no need to root.

I'm loooking at one off ebay..

Motorola Triumph | eBay It says brand new, so it should be OK to root. I will just have to add my contacts back in and install my SD card from my old phone. I think my 25.00 plan will still work, as I am just swithing phones. I will call VM first to activate it.
UPDATE.. bought that phone, now my question is what's the best CWM to install? I think it is CM7 but who's build should I use. BTW my tech buddy will be rooting it for me. I am not putting my SD card in so he won't see my pics or downloads.
