Root Netarchy 4.3.2 overclock?

An UrgeTo Dance

The Hero of the Winds
What is the highest I can overclock this kernel and keep it stable? I am using the 4.3.2 nosbc more havs.

Thanks
Urge

That's the exact kernel I'm using right now. The highest frequency you can overclock to sort of varies from phone to phone. I can get mine as high as 1190, but I keep it at 1152 because I know it's stable there (and the difference between the two is unnoticeable). I've heard that some people can go as high as 1228, but I wouldn't recommend even trying. Even if it doesn't lock up right away, it's bound to be unstable at some point. Beyond that, I'm sure you know the drill. Don't test the limit while you have the "set at boot" option checked. If you ever do accidentally forget to uncheck that and get stuck in a bootloop, just put a file named setcpu_safemode on the root of your sdcard. You can do that from recovery, for example. That will override the setcpu set at boot option, allowing you to boot up.

Thanks Akaza I keep mine at 1152 but I wanted to see if I could get it any higher even though I don't really need to lol.

Lol, I hear ya. Try 1190. That's about as high as most people can go. Like I said, though, don't expect a noticeable difference.

I will, should I tell it not to set on boot?
initially yes, until you know that it will be stable for you... i have mine on that, tried one notch higher but was getting alot of reboots... lowered it and haven't had that happen... i'm assuming the reboots were caused by the 1190...

does it means that when its not set on boot and we reboot our phone the settings we made on set_cpu will not be implemented?

i believe so. but your profiles will be there. you should know within a short amount of time wether it will be stable for you. i hardly ever reboot unless i'm flashing a new ROM or MOD...

Yeah, if you uncheck set at boot, it will just be the main settings that get reset. Your profiles aren't touched. Like I said above, don't test the limit while the option is checked. There is a built-in recovery method (that one file), but save yourself the trouble :).
