Root Netflix "fix" discovered

Well, as many of you may know, Netflix has horrible sync issues on our phones... well, I stumbled upon a fix over at AC in the Optimus S forums.. and its pretty damn simple, yet mind boggling.
Here's the complicated, long, process of how to get Netflix to work properly on the Optimus V.

Restore back to Stock.

That's it.
That's all you need to do.
It's odd, I know, but it works.. I have no idea why, but it does..

I wonder why the a/v sync is broken in custom roms, but not Stock... someone look into it?

Someone found that out already in the BACKside for OM thread....

I thought it didn't happen on the OV....but I guess it's a problem for all of the cyanogenmod for the Optimus line...

Its also a problem with AOKP Roms for the optimus line of phones. I wonder what causes the sync issue, its not the app, we know that now, considering it works with stock.
I wonder what went wrong..

Maybe a kernel issue?? Try the optimus S official gingerbread kernel with a cyanogenmod ROM.

Just found something that should work to fix netflix on any ROM (netflix will work fine with any froyo ROM with or without this fix.)

Well I still get a blank screen, when I play a movie, audio is clean and clear. Then again, I am using quattrimus AOKP..

Try it on not aokp....

Netflix will not work on an ics rom at all until we get the video codec drivers. And qualcomm refuses to write them.

Both.
As far as I know, they haven't been written, and if they were, they wouldn't be publicly released.
