Help Netflix on EVO 3d

For those saying it works ok, has anyone tried to watch more than a few seconds of a movie or tv show?

Absolutely! I have noticed some pixelation, and will assume it is some buffering against signal/loss that allows the phone to keep up with the data. I noticed it and will say it's minor, just for a second here and there, then the video is sharp as can be no problems with image, sync or anything.

:)

OK I downloaded three of the "blue" apk files on the [APP][Updated 6/21/11] Official Netflix - xda-developers page and then used the download function to try to open them. Message said "cannot open file". What an I doing wrong?

First, do you have a file manager? Estrongs? Try that, go to file and select it, it will try to install. If you haven't already allowed non market apps to install it will take you there and you must allow that for it to install properly.

Someone in this thread mentioned that Crackle worked for them. I installed it and while the program starts up nothing shows up in any of the media lists for me. I got a few load errors and just uninstalled it. Has anybody else been able to make it work?

If you just save the apk file to your local pc and then email it to a gmail account on your phone, when you download the email the apk file will be there with a intall link beside it. This makes it very easy. Remember to go into the application setting and check install from unknown sources.

Astro works great also but this method seems to make it much easier with less keystrokes.

I have the red version loaded and working on my evo3d. I think I am confused though. If I read properly the blue version is designed to work with dual core chips and with HD. Does anyone know for sure, or are both versions basically the same?

hi,

as i posted a few posts up, the blue and read are the same. one has a blue splash load up screen and the red has a red splash screen. other then that they are both the same and are indeed designed for dual core gadgets...

does this only work with 3G/4G, or will it also work with wifi? if not how can i get it to work over wifi? i downloaded it earlier and it works great, the screen does turn white for a few seconds, but it does go to netflix after that.

You shouldnt have to do anything special to get it to work over wifi other than turn on your wifi. If anything it should load and play much faster.

I am not very technology savy and can't figure this.out at all .can.someone send me a pm with "for dummies" directions. I tried downloading the file manager and can't find the file now.

Well I just got netflix to work on my phone...

I'm on an Evo 3D, I downloaded This Netflix APK, and it gave me the exact file I needed. I emailed it to myself and installed it directly from my email account on my phone, and I don't have a file manager installed...

no netflix does not yet have such flicks.

Well that blows serious chunks... The whole purpose of me trying to download this app was to have a source where I could start downloading 3D movies. I was even planning on subscribing to Netflix for that sole purpose.

What I'm looking for is a place where I can start downloading as many 3D movies to my 3DVO as possible. Does such a thing or place even exist yet?

I downloaded the apk to my laptop, then I moved it to my dropbox, then I downloaded it to my phone from the dropbox, and then it installed seamlessly from the dropbox without a problem.
