Root new admire, wont let me root

HELLO WORLD!!!

bought an admire the other day, downloaded the one-click-root, and the drivers for it, followed all instructions, and when i run the bat. file, it flies through without stopping to do anything. Nothing happens to the phone..at all. I get alot of error: too many devices messages. dunno what that means. Any ideas?

Recalling when I did it had to plug the phone in and out a few times before the USB com. downloaded

make sure you have the drivers installed and put the super user on the sd card before you run bat. dont forget debuing!!!

So, do I need both the .ZIP and the one-click root? And the superuser needs to be on the sd card before the root?

same deal
Phone is in debug, and UBS storage is in use
Copied SU to the sd card
ran ADB from CPU(did nothing)
ran RUN (ha!)from CPU(flew thru the comm screen)
still nothing

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!! lolol

You running Windows 7? Try right-clicking run.bat and select Run as Administrator.

tried, and same thing... beginning to think it's not worth it, lol
one thing i noticed, though... when I DL the drivers, its labeled INDULGE.drivers. Is that correct?
and how the bloody hell do I know I installed them correctly? went thru the install screens, so im assuming i got it right... grrr...

ok, so I installed the new drivers, and it did different stuff, lol. It went thru the Comm screen, illegal this, illegal that... went kinda quick. it re-booted the phone, and now I have SuperUser. Still dont know if it rooted, though.

Open the Superuser app-go to Preference-General(tap to update) if root it will tell you Ya or Nay

I dont see preferences anywhere.. it shows APPS-LOG-SETTINGS at the top
SETTINGS doesnt show any pref, or conformation of root... *sigh*

Press the far left button on the bottom of your phone

and Binary 2.3.1-ef

Looks NOTHING like the pic, and the menu button does nothing.

so, I need to update superuser then?
