Root new boost phone?

Too little too late I already moved on from the SII to SIII on Boost.

The camera on the SII is unbelievable when you compare it to any past or current Boost offerings. You can shoot full 1080p videos and not have any zoom features or you can shoot 720p and have up to 4x zoom.

For the SII I would suggest heading over to XDA and looking up Blazer Rom. I'd still suggest sticking with GB version atm though since any ICS builds still have bugs even the stock ICS.

I'm just as happy as can be with my Marquee at the moment. It won't be long before the guys over in that section have CM9 ready for daily use. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I do believe I'm going to stick with the Marquee for a little while since Sprint will not have 4g available in my area for quite some time.

If anything, I may end up getting a Google Nexus 7 by Asus. I've got a friend of mine that says they're nice. I've looked at the specs and reviews and I must say that they are impressive.:) Not bad at all for $200.

Whenever I hear waterproof first thing I think is this phone will overheat no way to dissapate heat being air tight I had the Nextel i680 a waterproof design that got so hot it would lock up all the time

I am going to get one and strap it to a dolphins head, and stream the video to the internet.

I may need some help catching the dolphin, if anyone wants to help

I hope you know that the Max video length would be 30 minutes.
I know i read somewhere that its more "water resistant" then waterproof.
Themax it can be underwater would be 30 minutes. Sorry to bring this kinda news. I am 65% sure i read this correctly. Maybe someone should double check.

Yep. I think it also said that the max depth is 3 feet.

schr9091 has a good point about the phone being able to vent the heat too.

The iphone is supposed to hit Boost/Virgin around September and I saw another article that 3 Sprint phones are coming to Boost (sorry I didn't save link).

One of the new Boost phones is supposed to be the Galaxy S2, which depending on price will make me finally leave my trusty Prevail.

edit: the specs on the new Boost phones were supposed to be unchanged and same as original Sprint variations.
If the iPhone comes to Boost, their Facebook page will be full of people complaining "Why is it so expensive?!" because people do not understand contract subsidies. When that new HTC phone came out after a couple of years of people clamoring for higher-end phones on Boost, everybody was complaining that it was too expensive. :P

Same here with not having 4g and if you do get the N7 I would recommend the 16 GB model.
