Root New Boost Phones

I'm fed up with Boost. They've been telling me nothing but lies for the past 2 weeks. I'm looking at Virgin or Straight Talk. The Galaxy S2 on Straight Talk is looking very good ATM.

virgin is a part of sprint too so i doubt it would be much different.

what happened with boost?

I was having trouble getting MMS to work after I got it back from LG. After 10 days of no MMS, the Boost Rep said that she was going to send me a complimentary phone. I asked her if it would be a Marquee and she said yes. She took my address and all of that down and said it would be shipped. I've checked several times with Boost since first complaining about the problem and the reps I spoke with assured me that the phone requested had been processed, approved, and shipped to me. I called Boost today because I was instructed to do so if I had not received the phone in 10 days. The rep I spoke with today said the request for the phone was denied and had never been shipped. I just spoke with a rep just 2 days ago and he said the phone was shipped and I should get it the next day. LOL.

Truly a screwed up situation, Blood. Just plain bad business.

Straight Talk and the Galaxy S2 are looking pretty good right about now. I just hate to kick out the extra money for the phone..... $350 is a little high. I'm going to stay with Boost for another month due to the fact that I've got money on my account. I may just cancel after that. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. It just really makes me mad that I was lied to.

No matter how mad I get about it, Boost still has the most affordable plan for me. Sad but true.. :banghead:

Yep. About the only cool thing about the warp is that their root/cwm package is flashable through the STOCK RECOVERY :eek: other than that it's riddled with problems... (Ps if you find a working solution the that, PLEASE let me know, i just don't understand why it's like that. My gf's mom couldn't be reached for 3 days because of it. All she had to do was reboot, but she knows nothing about technology (so she buys a smart phone, go figure :rolleyes: ), and just assumed nobody wanted to talk to her)

Say she didn't think anyone wanted to talk to her. Bless her heart. People were trying to contact her the whole time probably. Good thing she knows to reboot it now. You would think ZTE would have sent out a fix for it.

Thanks. I haven't really made up my mind what I'm gonna do yet. Straight talk is looking good and AT&T is hard to beat. They are right up there with Verizons coverage. I've got another month to mull it over. I had extra money on my Boost account that needed to be used so I've got another month with Boost.

Also, Boost really isn't that bad when it comes to coverage and the cost of their plan. It's the actions of the 2 employees when they straight up lied to me that pisses me off. It would be nice if Boost would rectify the situation but they won't. As a matter of fact.... it would just be nice if they would admit they were wrong and made a mistake. I could live with that but instead they won't even admit wrong doing.

Oh well, it is what it is. I've got a working phone with no issues right now and that's all that really matters ATM. I'll switch to another carrier when I can.

i just loaded warp cream sandwich on hers so it seems to be running better. I think it will work much better once blood gets that ctmod on it ;) ;) ;)

basically that and a stock ics phone for a better base and stability, and 4G. I wouldnt get rid of my marquee tho, if anything i would let my gf use it so she can get rid of the warp.
 
Aside from having more Ram, LTE, and a slightly bigger screen, what makes the S3 so much better than the S2 E4GT? I am debating between the two but the S3 requires me to drop Boost and go back to Sprint. My sister has one and it's not that much of a difference in size or general day to day performance.
