Hey guys.
Let me give some background first.
I started my Android life with an Eris, returned that within the 14/30 days or whatever it was and got the Moto Droid. From there I went to a Droid X which i was perfectly happy with, until now when I needed to lock in a third line for unlimited data. On friday I ordered the Thunderbolt, boy, what a disappointment. Signal drops off like crazy, im smack dab in the middle of a LTE area, like 100 mile radius around me is LTE, yet 70% of the time the phone is using 3G. Ive even seen 1x, blew my mind. Long story short, I just ordered a DINC2 as a replacement, I need a working phone, not one with signal issues and one that needs attached to an outlet.
Oh yeah, im an ex AndroidForums Guide
. (Stepped down do to it taking a backseat in my busy life)
Anyway. I should have the phone on Thursday. Im looking forward to it.
What should I do/expect?
Do I have to cripple the phone and run low brightness just to last a full day?
Any tips or tricks you can recommend?
Not sure if it will have Gingerbread when it arrives, but id like to root, should/can I do that after accepting Gingerbread?
Long post, if you read it all, thanks! Looking forward to your responses!
