Help New Droid X not charging

Hi everyone. This is my first post to the forum. I bought a Droid X last Thursday (March 24th) and now when I plug it in to charge it will not charge. Last night I plugged it in and the battery was at 40% but nothing happened. I tried using my husband's charger plugged into a different outlet. We turned it off and back on. We took the battery out and put it back in and still nothing. It will not charge on the car charger or if I plug the cable into the computer.

I love my phone... anyone have this issue before??? I am taking it back at lunch to see if I can get another one.

This makes me very sad :(

Thanks

The phone is operating normally aside from not charging? Does the phone display that it's trying to charge - is there a little lightning bolt on the battery symbol?

If you plug it into a computer, can you access the storage on the phone?

Sounds like you just need to exchange it... bad news for such a new phone, but at least it's new enough to get replaced.

Yes it is working great, except for the fact that it won't charge. When I plug it in it does not show that it is charging nor does it show the lightening bolt on the battery.

Guess I just got a lemon. We bought 3 of the phones last week (2 for my sons) and they are not having any problems with theirs.

I update this post when I get back from the store today.

It is common for them not to charge on a USB charger on the computer ( sometimes you have to download some drivers) but it should always charge on a wall outlet. If it is still running after a day's use though, I'd say it has been charging.

The DX can charge using the stock Windows USB drivers. You shouldn't have to download anything to get the DX to charge when attached to the computer.

I had the same issue. For me it was the charger, not the phone, itself. But you said that you tried your husband's charger...hmmmm..well then.....
