Help New Firmware 8.6.5.18-20111028

Well that user agent sting on the default browser still doesn't work at all I.e. still points to the mobile string even if its set as desktop.

Text in this forum is alot quicker too....just testing battery drain
 
Just got it here in the UK, so will evaluate over the coming days.

From the link you posted, two things really interest me ... improved wifi and dock/battery consumption.

ICS next! bring it on ...
 
It appears that this update finally fixed the issue of the tablet not being able to deep sleep. Very nice

It's in the air... just be patient.

I got mine and it appears to be a good one, except for one thing... With <5 min off of a dock which is still plugged in, the DOCK lost 4% power! That was a bizarre thing to happen...
 
I checked update on my transformer but I don't see anything. Do I have to unroot to install the update? If I stay rooted then update will I loose root?
 
My guess is that rooted devices won't get the update. IF it does then I'd expect it to lose root.
Mine is not rooted and I haven't seen the update either.
 
I think they're just messin' with us Murzz, there really isn't an update, they just want to see how long we'll keep looking for one. :)

The update fixed something, i can see desktop versions of the websites now. I use dolphin, but it was also screwed up before the update.
