New Huawei M931 to MetroPCS???

I also do have Comcast Blast-Plus on the Desk and I gotta admit the idea of poppin on the hotspot and dumping the $100+/mo. Comcast bill has been gnawin at my cranium something fierce!!! But, again, this 4GLTE is still new so I've decided to let it brew a bit before makin any hasty decisions.

Using MetroPCS as your main source will violate your service agreement and they may throttle you or cut you off.

Got mine today, and its totally worth every penny. Fantastic phone that smokes my old LG Connect right out of the box, and I'm very happy with it! Huawei came through in fine style with this phone :D

Yeah they're getting it. Not a fan of Huawei but this phone will be getting the Jellybean update which I thought was cool.

IMO, If they were being honest with you, there's a large group of Spirit and Motion owners who couldn't care less if they get JB or not.

Updates REALLY Matter when there are Real Improvements between the versions Or something needs fixing with the phone that can be with a new OS. NEITHER is the case with ICS/JB and these two phones. You can't fix what ain't broke.

I couldn't care less about having JB *Just Because* it's a Newer system when newer hasn't been shown to also be Better.

It was originally said the Premia Would Get JB but then Metro rescinded that information. How often does THAT happen and how in the heck does Any One take THAT as any evidence it'll EVER get JB?

I dont understand what you are even talking about, jellybean is probably the second biggest upgrade to android that they have come out with. project butter speeds up a device far more than the JIT did back in froyo days.

I know the MetroPCS Samsung S3 owners cared for their JB update. ;)

that was a complete s#$@storm on their facebook :O. but hey they delivered the update when they promised :D. good thing too cuz there is no way i could have ported MV to ICS

A Spirit with ICS beats the S3 with JB scores in Quadrant.

The second biggest upgrade who's speed difference you can't even see?

I get it.

clearly you dont understand it all as well as you hope then. quadrant hasnt been relevant since 2009 and more so than that benchmarks prove nothing.

but if you would like i can explain project butter to you?

edit: ok i shoudl clarify, cpu benchmarks dont mean anything these days. since half the OS is rendered with teh gpu, and that is what is stressed when you play games.

a spirit with ics beats a gs3? now your basing your facts on a obsolete app that no one uses. don't put your faith on such lame apps that never gives you same score results more than once.

if you believe quadrant scores, I have a Ascend that decimates all. ;)

JB beats ICS hands down, I have ran it both on good phones and pofs.

It seems even Huawei handles their phones better than LG. As long as LG sells their phones, they could care less about the customer. At least that's what I'm seeing.

Not that it matters anyway. I bought my Premia knowing it may never get JB, but like you, doesn't bother me even if it's confirmed that it never will. I now have ICS, THAT is what matters to me, and now I'm feeling like I'm on top of the world with just that alone, it's all new to me :)

And, uh, how often do you look at the MPCS Facebook page? Last time I checked, there was a growing number of Spirit owners that were throwing the 'wherr dafuq is mah (insert LG phone here) Jellybean at' man?' onto the page. And this is adding to the MANY Motion owners that are demanding it too. It hasn't turned into a 'where's my free shyt' fest like Galaxy-gate had become, but we'll soon see LMAO :D:D:D

Don't think anything for a time to come will get as bad as that

Actually thats further than the truth than you realize. Huawei is one of the worse manufs when it comes to releasing src... or building a good phone really.

I haven't seen huawei create any good quality phone Atleast for metro that is. Also ZTE and huawei are still under investigation for potential malware preloaded software on their devices that may be used to spy on the us. Just Google it. But that's not the point even with potential malware and what not that's like comparing a Kia hyundai to a lexus. And I'm not stereotyping such brands but I hate to say it I've yet to see a proud owner of a ZTE or huawei that didn't want to return their device for something better. My sister bought my mom that huawei phone from metro the one that has a qwerty keyboard and it's only 3 months old and it's a Pos with a capital P. In my opinion a company/brand is judged by their quality of their devices. No matter if it's a $100 device or a $500 device. Both lg and samsung meet a certain expectation in the mobile world that's why they are known as top quality devices.

Unfortunately PlayfulGod is correct. They have a history of crappy hardware and not complying with the GNU GPL.

The poor history of Huawei is likely the reason why there is so little activity in the Huawei Premia 4G forum. Though, with them releasing better hardware and unlocking the bootloaders, this might be a great step in the right direction.
