New JIT Compiler v. Overclocking

Let's discuss board. Will the new JIT Compiler for 2.2 (FroYo) be faster than overclocking? And when we have 2.2 can we over clock?

There will be custom ROMs that have 2.2 and overclocking so you can have both.

yea i really want to see how many mflops i'm gonna get with froyo oc'ed and with JIT enabled. should be insane.

JIT will provide much greater benefits than overclocking ever did. But as gwlaw99 said, JIT+overclock is even better!

Of course, I won't be overclocking if everything runs smooth at 550MHz. I'll just use SetCPU to make my phone drop to 250MHz in sleep to save battery.

Froyo not only has JIT, but a whole new Dalvik JIT compiler. I'm hoping it's going to be sooo much faster than what we're experiencing now. Of course, time will tell. And once we over-clock it ... BUCKLE UP!
