This isn't a home replacement like Launcher Pro or ADW, it's aimed at manufacturers to put on their devices for launch. It will never appear on the android market and won't be an apk.

Hopefully they'll sell it to consumers via their website, but if so expect a cost of $30 or so.

Although it looks fancy I'm not a big fan of the 3D look, for me it just slows the user experience down, I had the 3D cube on my LG Arena (alright, the phone was crap) and I never used the 3D part, it was just quicker and easier to slide across to the next screen, and I think HTC Sense's helicopter view is a much better way of moving between screens.

The other bits of it look interesting though.

I think it looks a bit gimmicky. As someone on the comments page there said, it's a neat bit of eye candy, but as far as I can see still not as efficient as just having a few homescreens and a dock with a link to the app drawer/folderorganiser.

It's all very well being intuitive and easy to use. But if other launchers are more efficient and flexible once you've learnt how to use them, that becomes redundant very quickly. And flashy graphics only impress your co-workers so many times. :p

Think it looks really good, but dont think i would pay that much money for what is basically cosmetic improvements.Something i would like but not need, so dont think ill be spending that much money on it.

EDIT: that is if it appears on the market for that price. Should have read the thread more carefully!

Looks too much cosmetic to me.
I like HTC Sense, and I draw the line there. Since having this as the UI might/will eat up a LOT of battery, and slow the phone down. And the demo's are always WAY better than the real things. I can barely populate my 7 home screens, let alone 8(thats the minimum I counted), and this is not as efficient as the 'leap' view. So yeah, until I get a hands-on experience I wont go for it. (as the other SPB stuff is going for ~30 bucks in the market)

yes it will. of course it will.

spb shell has been around in various forms for a long time now. it was quite popular with symbian users because the sybian UI is so boring and limited and spb shell gave their phones some extra depth.

Liked the favourites @ 3m27 and the folders view. You can keep the 3D revolving experience, you'd never find anything.
