Root New market problems

I'm on rooted 596 with BWC theme. My problem is the home page of the new market has only updated once in almost three weeks. Also if I use it for about 30min it will eventually fc. Have cleared cache, uninstalled then reinstalled, nothing helps. Any ideas? Could it be conflicting with my theme?
 
Have you used any other market and had to rename/freeze the market updater? If you have done this rename it back or unfreeze it.
 
Here is what I've tried so far. On bwc of course, downloaded new market and installed. Wouldn't update. So uninstalled update then market would instantly fc. So, flash my backup of stock rooted 596, got old market back. Uninstalled the market update as per instructions for bwc. Flash 596 deodexer zip then reinstalled bwc then new market again. Still not updating. Hope this makes sense as Im confusing myself lol.

Try using the Market that Fabolous put up for ApeX.

I haven't been on .596 for so long now; I can't test what's going on.
 
Should I just flash this over my current market or uninstall updates first? Thanks for the help as usual!
 
Flashed over current market, still the same. Tried clearing data, still the same. Still shows Watchmen at the top, The Lincoln Lawyer at the bottom. Been showing this for about a week and a half. Is that what yours shows Bo? Maybe its supposed to be this way? On the old market every time I opened it would show different featured apps at the top.

Remove any updates.

I suggest you rename MarketUpdater.apk to MarketUpdater.bak if you haven't done so, this way the Market won't update on you before installing the New Market.
 
Ok, just did that and its still the same. Guess I'll give it a couple days and see what happens. Thanks again.
 
droblyer boot your phone into recovery via droid bootstrap and clear your dalvic cache. That may get her straight.
 
I pulled the Vending.apk from GApps and installed it like a regular app and it works fine. I uploaded it to mediafire, HERE it is if you want it.

Now that I think about it, it's been like this for me since I installed it.

That's the old Market, he's talking about the new Market v3.0.27.
 
He's wondering why he always has the following movies (why they don't change/update) on the Market home page:

 
well now that i got linux up and running i think its time i go ahead and get back to work on RCX i just got some xml's to edit and apex has a new theme
 
Well did factory reset today . Then ran deodexer then installed bwc and apex market . Still the same. Oh well maybe It will update one day,lol

Has your Market updated yet? Mine updated last night or the night before, I'm not exactly sure when.
 
hehe, I've been using appbrain for so long, I didn't even notice the new market format.... kinda freaky, buuuuuudddddyyyy!
