Root New market

Sooo. I went to download the apk for the 2.2.1 market but when I download it, it says "there its a problem parsing the package".any ideas? Its working on my tablet, but my phone is rooted

Are you sure you want to jump to that ? New downloads for paid apps are only good for a 15 min trial. Not sure if that is across the board or not. You might wanna check into that first. There was an Uber_Market file floating around over at IRC flashable through cwr but I didn't install it because of the new 15 minute rule.

Agreed. I went with the new 2.2.6 market and its nice. The 15 minute rule wont effect me much but for those it will think it over. Going back once you install is a bit complex as I dont think adryn has another zip out for older versions and you of course cannot merely uninstall market

Not as hard to revert back as you think. Early this morning I was on the new market then my phone froze up and when I rebooted I was back to the old one. :D

I chalk it up to me messing up my phone earlier, since then and I got my problems straightened out I haven't had that or any other issues.

wow thats not normal at all. Reverting to an older market would require a flash under normal circumstances.

Yeah I was freaking out hardcore, phone was acting like crap, flash jt 0.7 and my theme again, and the market place. Since then everything has been fine. I guess last night I got a little carried away, should have taken my time instead of rushing to get to bed.

Lesson learned.:rolleyes:

yeah 0.7 has the market in it, so it would have restored the older one :)

No my market changed back before that, I wasn't receiving text, and my phone would freeze up every time I locked my phone. Then after a reboot my market place was back to the old one, so I then flashed jt 0.7 since I was having weird issues. ;)
 
OK, so I just installed the uber_market and now I'm getting constant FCs. I'm on stock TW with the stupidfast 1.94 test kernel and DJ05. What do I do to either stop the FC's on the new market or revert back to the old one? Thanks in advance.

boot into cwr, wipe cache then under advanced run fix permissions
 
Anyone have a zip for the new market? With a Samsung Fascinate on 2.1 I can't seem to find one that works.
