Root New phone, same setup as old, MUCH slower

As some of you know I recently replaced my LTEvo with another LTEvo. I'm currently using the same setup as I was on my old one. But it's going a fraction of speed of my previous LTEvo. Both are/were rooted, s-off and unlocked. Using MeanROM OC'd. The picture attached demonstrates this best. The top 2 are the new LTEvo and the bottom 2 are the old one. All speed tests were done on Wifi for the best and most reliable results. QUITE a difference

That is quite a difference! Can you reboot your router to see if that makes a difference?

Have you installed the zip with the new firmware and radios off the MeanRom Op?

Have you done any quadrant test scores?

have you tried checking the Best wifi performance thing under advanced on the wifi connection?

Rebooting the router didn't work. I installed the new firmware and radios. And updated prl and profile. Best WiFi performance helped a little. How do I do a quadrant test score?

I used an app called quadrant standard in the Playstore.

have been told a few times that these tests aren't that meaningful, but, they have to mean something, maybe just not all that much.

At least give you a comparison point for how phone is working. I have gotten over 5000 on it at times with various roms.

Edit: Only got around 4.5k on latest Mean today though. Well, hell, just ran it again and got 5,125. ???

Is your wifi response a fraction of the speed as before (using web page loading etc etc as a measure) or is your Speedtest result a fraction of the speed as before?

Speedtest varies a lot depending upon server load - if it's just Speedtest bothering you and not your normal operations, try connecting to a different server.

If you want a cross-check just talking to your local ISP, you can speed test using Open Signal Maps.

If results are still wonky, use Wifi Analyzer to see if your network is now on the same channel as a neighbor's - that's never good for speed or anything else.

Quadrant is fun at parties (ummm - I guess) but that's about it. ;) :)

PS - grab GPS Status and check that out while you're doing radio tests - couldn't hurt. ;)
