Root New Root Method No Pc

I've tried factory resetting twice (which is what VM instructed me to do), soft resetting, adjusting the settings...and I'm still getting double texts. It's driving me crazy.

Go to the market and download something called Calls Blacklist.Inside settings block all incoming sms go back into market and download any form of sms alternative. What this does is give the false impression to block all incoming initially yet since forementioned is stand alone they still come through

There is another way but given no cwm it will either loop or brick your phone and that is reverting or downgrading firmware prior update. If I was on the firm would patch and release my own but that would mean me updating with no way of getting back to stock.Try handcent and see what happens(in calls blacklist make sure to block all sms)

Both yes and no.Yes given I was on equivalent firmware since I would patch it but simultaneously no since this phone true potential is hendered by lack of cwm. With the right(keyword) setup this is a high end phone but forementioned wise equates mid range for now

Quick question - what would be considered the proper or preferred method for rooting the Rise? Basically, what I want to know if there are any significant differences between this rooting method and the one posted on Android Central. I understand that the end results are the same (or are they...?), but it's the steps in the middle, their differences, and any effects they might have that I'm curious about.

Asked this on AC a week ago and didn't get any response. This place seems a little more active regarding the Rise though.

No it doesn't matter witch one you do. I perspnally perfer the no pc way just for the fact that its easier.

Mine has been sitting at SuperUser screen Binary Updater for awhile now saying
Downloading manifest... okay!
Parsing manifest... okay!
Latest Version = 3.1.1
Checking installed version = 3.0.3.2
unpacking sutools... okay!
Checking current install path... /
system/xbin/su
downloading new binary... okay!
gaining root access...
Making sure new su works...

Its been doing that for about 10 minutes now. I guess I'll restart it and try again.

Your not supposed to update the binary. The phone hates it and you'll loose root.

Meant to add also has a variety of rootng methods includeing apk like poot so that this isnt completely off topic

I rooted my hydro thanks to you guys and I did that with the hopes that it will help me with the freezing and laging and of course with the battery.

Now I'm not sure what to do. I installed Greenify for the battery. But for some reason it only allowed me to hibernate Tango. All the other I get I message that says "Failed to put 'NAME OF APP' in hibernation.?? They are placed as pending. I also have App Quarantine but won't quarantined an app.

I also downloaded System Turner but it was to complicated for me so I uninstall it.

I have RAM Manager Free but I don't think is working cause my phone keeps freezing.

I also have Root App/Delete with helped me disabled and/or uninstall some apps.

The freezing is a pain. Please help

Get rid of that crap you currently have app wise given its hendering not helping.Do the following:

Delete the following system apps and these only unless you actually know what your doing otherwise you will loop your phone:Eco Mode,Maps,Connections Optimizer,Street View,YouTube,Mobile ID,SSA,My Account,Talk,Virgin Mobile Live, find another launcher before(keyword) installing and deleting your initial, find another browser(keyword) before deleting your initial,Google Music,Google Video,Google Books

Forementioned equates a faster phone given free more RAM from inception all phones are stock bogged down in bloatware. Also cant recompense anything pm wise unlike other devs dont a pc everything I done prior this site is on current phone itself I'm just that bad ass

one thing, after deleting your launcher, and lets say you found one, move it to /system/app/ before you do a factory reset otherwise you will be stuck without a launcher and if you have no adb experience your most likely SOL :P

OK. I will try and delete some of those apps. All this is new to me so I'm trying one step at a time. Sorry for my ignorance.

I already had deleted the Google music, books, magazine and video. I wasn't sure about G+, G messenger, and G keyboard. Those will be OK?

I will try with Eco Mode, Maps, Street view, and talk. I don't know about YouTube cause I use it a lot.

I'm on Boost Mobile. So there will be no problem with deleting Mobile ID? How about the connections Optimizer?

Can I delete Ministro and Poot or do I have to keep them?

I use Nova Launcher. But I'm afraid to uninstall the stock launcher.

Dont delete G keyboard unless you use Swype. Connections Optimizer should be left alone, as it may cause some system apps to FC.

For others yes me no given I coform above a regular dev and everything posted by me is done on phone itself no pc.On one of my numerous rises that OTA itself simultaneously wiped everything leaving me with a black screen still recovered on phone itself no pc.Takes real competence and not typing how atm unless someone is in equivalent boat.I have over 10 rises each for a diff purpose
