new SD Card problems

Desire, rooted, LeeDroid2.3 (latest)

OK so I got a new 16GB sd card..

I made a titanium backup and a nandroid backup.

I booted into linux (ubuntu10.10) and formatted 500 odd MB as an ext3 partition and the rest as FAT.

(still in Linux) I put my old SD into the computer and copied over all files (including hidden files) to a folder.

- note, in linux when i insert the old SD (formatted in ROM manager when I first rooted) it opens as a single directory... but when I insert my new SD card (formatted in ubuntu) it opens the ext3 and FAT as separate directories -

I copied all the data to the new sd card in linux (to the FAT partition) I insert it to the phone and only have about 5 apps installed. So I insert my old SD and restore a nandroid backup and im back to normal.

I've no idea how I am going to use this new SD card.

I am now currently restoring a nandroid.. I will then install a leedroid without a2sd+, format the new card in ROM manager and then try to copy the backed up data to it then.

Should I be backing up the old SD card in windows or in linux??

Windows wont do an ext3 partitiom as its a Linux only affair. Delete everything on your card on BOTH partitions of the SD card, copy just the titanium Back Up folder into the FAT and restore using Titanium. Do not Nand.
