as the title.

ive been using an 8gig card for a while, but in order to watch a few movies over the weekend (going to my parents) I stuck a few .mtk files on the 4 gig card that came with the phone, the object being to transfer to the laptop once I got to my parents.

unfortunately the phone wont boot with the 4gb card inserted, just trying the 8gig one again now. any ideas?

This may fix your problem...
If you are using a custom ROM, Then follow these steps...
If your not using a custom ROM, then ignore this post.

I got this from LeeDroid, and he got it from mad-murdock on the XDA Forums. Thanks to him for the information on migrating your existing data (incl. ext3) to a shiny, fresh new memory card:

Make a full nandroid backup
now make a full backup of your sdcard via windows (copy all the files – including the new nandroid backup)
insert new sdcard
boot up your system.it looks ugly and most stuff is missing.
get rom manager from market
format sdcard with it – 512mb ext, 0mb swap
go to recovery, switch on usb mount, copy your saved sdcard on it, including that nandroid backup
go to advanced, reboot recovery
restore your nandroid backup
