Help New to android

I have used an iphone for years and have now switched to the Galaxy note and I love it. Taking me some getting used to the different operating system but so far am loving alot of the android features that blow apple out of the water.

Question: I have the go sms pro app so I have a nice pretty decorative text screen but when I go to send pics through it, it turns them sideways unless I actually take the pic in landscape view. Another friend of mine uses it and says hers doesn't do that and I haven't found anything in the settings that changes that. Help!!!

Question: My phone was syncing my contacts through my gmail but now hasn't since 2/28 and I can't get it to sync. Syncs my music and pics and all that other stuff through google + nut I can not get my contacts to sync again.

Not sure about the SMS app. I use whatsapp to avoid paying MMS.

For the syncing issue: I can fix that.

Go SETTINGS>ACCOUNTS AND SYNC

Ensure background data and auto sync are checked (auto sync is not necessary but I like it that way)

Then find your gmail account in this menu and select it. Make sure the items you want synced are checked.

My guess is contacts are not checked off.

The other thing is when you save a contact make sure it is actually saving as a google contact and not to the phone.

All of the above was checked off. When I click to sync, everything syncs but contacts has an exclamation point and says sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shortly. It has said that since 2/28.

Also flash isn't working. And I have installed adobe flash player but when I go to a website with flash it tells me I need to download it.

Try installing Opera Mobile or Dolphin browser. Both are far superior to the stock browser imho. I have very few flash problems and I browse flash heavy websites a lot.

thanks i downloaded opera mobile and was able to open a site with flash that I wasn't able to through firefox. THANKS!!!

I'd log out of your google account(s) and log back in, if that doesn't work try logging out, rebooting, then logging back in.
