New to rooting, could use some help

Well like mentioned I have used Youmail for over a year now and no issues, I never really set the voicemail up with google as I have a GV account and use that for Canada but I thought the voicemail would only work on that number that was set up on the account,from reading it looks like I can use it for both numbers which is cool, so I will play with it tomorrow

Thanks for all of the help once again guys. I will definitely look into using google voice. I figured out how to change things up with launcher pro, all you have to do is press menu>preferences> on the home screen after you have the app installed and it will take you to all of the various options that the app has.

My phone seems to have issues sending long texts, it will basically say "sending..." for about 20 minutes before saying that it is unable to send the text, has this happened to anyone else?
 
Here's just an update on my texting woes. Apparently I can send a single 160 character text just fine. But if I go over that, my texts won't send. Does anyone know if there are any possible fixes for this?
 
Alright, I hope there is. One of the things that I do is send a lot of really long texts (I'm in a long distance relationship) aside from this, everything else is basically flawless.

No fix for this, this problem is AOSP rom specific. Sense roms do not have this trouble

I ran into this problem too... It is an issue with aosp, i hope it gets fixed for 2.3. I love aosp too much to switch Roms just for this reason... what I do now is used handcent, because it at least keeps a character count, so I just send before 160. Another "fix" for me is using google voice texting, i have no problem using that for long texts.

Yeah, I feel the same way too. Handcent seems to work when telling it to split up the texts so that should do the trick for me for now. I kind of like the aesthetics of the native messenger over the iPod-esque aesthetics of handcent, but it's really not that big of a deal to me. I will also look into google voice texting just to see how that works.

Yeah, pretty silly (confusing) in my mind also, LOL...but who am I to say this? :o The "silliest" developer is much smarter than I am. Thank you DEVS! :);):D

Without them, froyo would not be here for the Hero and heck, GB would not be here for sure
