Booting laptop so I can assist better. But, yes. Boot into recovery. Install zip from SD card for the ROM. If it does nor contain a kernel, repeat install from SD cars for kernel.

Have you pushed Clockwork Recovery from ODIN as well? That is required.

Boot into recovery by holding the up and down volume + the power button.

After SAMSUNG blinks, release the power button, but keep the volume buttons down. You should enter into clockwork recovery, with the option to “apply update.zip”. Use the volume down key to highlight “apply update.zip”, hit the home soft key to select.

You are now in Clockwork Recovery, the selection button is the “back” soft key (not home like the other recovery mode).

Make a backup, then go through the install from sdcard for the ROM and kernel.

I dont see the kernel. Its in my computer and on the sd card, but when in cwr I dont see it. On my computer its 1212 test novoodoo fascinate and it has no file extention.

It needs a .zip file extension.

Yes, place it on the card. Then run through the steps to enter into clockwork recovery, install from sdcard, etc...

So, nit, that is an interesting one. I swear I have never wiped the cache and have not experienced any issues. But, I am sure it's good practice to wipe it.

I am sure it is best practice to wipe the cache. I personally did/have not and haven't experienced any hiccups. But, your results may vary.

View Info within in SetCPU. Also, Settings > About phone will show DJ05.

I saw DJ05 but for the kernel it says 2.6.29.
