This is more confusing that it should be on a Mac.
I would've thought it would be easier on a mac (haven't tried it) because some of the drivers are already there??!?This is more confusing that it should be on a Mac.
Are you at the htcdev site now to unlock bootloader or are you done with that already?
Ah, gotcha....not sure how to open a command window on a mac....is a command window on a mac called a "terminal"?I'm hung up on step 6 on HTCdev site to run the command. Working off the Mac guide I linked to earlier now. Not sure I'm even doing this right.

Ya, I've got terminal open but I'm stuck. I have no idea what to do.
o.k..I'll do my best here...try to type
cd c:\Android
in the command window
o.k...then you need to type the path to it...whatever that may be.It says "no such file or directory" and I have a feeling that's b/c of the "C". The harddrive on windows is probably "C" and it's not on Mac. The android folder is on my desktop.

like my path would be
C:\Users\support\Desktop\platform-tools
process completed? hmm...Ok....I did that and now it says "process completed"
Correct.process completed? hmm...
So, your android folder, that is on your desktop, should contain 3 files.
adb.exe
AdbWinApi.dll
fastboot.exe
correct?

No, not a bad idea, I'm just unfamiliar with a mac...do you have access to a windows computer? Only reason I ask that is, well, I know windowsI'm thinking this was a bad idea. I'm stuck.

I'm also learning as I go along since never used a mac to do this
I am wondering if you have the correct binaries downloaded in step 5.3.c of the dev method? It says to unzip them.
When you unzipped that file, was there something that needed to go into your android folder?I downloaded and unzipped "fastboot-mac". I'm not sure if I'm skipping a step but nothing's happening.

hmm, I just downloaded and unzipped it,,,
I would put the fastboot-mac file (not the folder) in your android folder
Should I then open that file with Terminal? I'm not clear what the next step is.
