New Update Out... Failed

Same thing here and I am not rooted so that may not be the source of your problem...

I don't know about phones, but in my Motorola Xoom, you can't do an ota update while rooted. You first have to unroot.
Also, looking at the update version number, is it really worth it?
 
It looks like they might have pulled the update for now. I tried checking for updates about 10 minutes ago and it said that my software was up to date.
 
Looks like they removed the update now, phone states current software up to date. Somebody messed it up most likely AT&T.
 
So if the update got pulled is there any way to get rid of the device management connecting to DM server icon in my bar?? I don't want to update anyways.

This is the second time they've screwed up the 2.3.6 update. I'm glad I was able to postpone it's automatic installation for three consecutive 8-hour periods and missed it.
 
Can anyone help me? The update bricked my phone. It is stuck on a white screen that sim ply says Loading and shows an empty progress bar. Rebooting takes me back to the same screen. Removing battery same. Took it to the Att store in the mall and they were unable to offer anything...not very helpful. I my whole itunes library on this phone and NOT on my laptop because unfortunately I had to return my laptop to factory settings last week to save it from sudden death. Help?
 
Lot of people are sending phones back to Samsung so they can be re-flashed. 6 business day turnaround.

How do you get a screen capture? I have Build number GINGERBREAD.UCKK1 and Baseband version I727UCKK1 but everything else is the same as yours. I wonder what those differences are. My phone now says I am up to date on my software even though the update failed to install at 75%
 
Anyone else feel like since they just tried to send an update to our phones that ICS wont be out for a while. Why would they send out an update and then release ICS a month later.
 
I concur....my problem is that I have CWM on my phone and it is NOT ROOTED....therefore I can not get any of the updates
