Root new update????

It is only out for testers which I happen to be one and will I provide you info. Nope. Don't want to get fired. So I don't give a crap if anyone believes me. You will see soon. I can say this it is not a "major" upgrade if that is what you are looking for.

Now is it totally unrootable. Probably not. However I had it rooted before this one and have tried everything in the book to get it back to no avail.

there are ways of releasing info without getting fired .... see youtube for example ..

Im still not buying any of this.

so what is your mission here? just to leech info (and hold out on sharing any new info - you told us there is a new OTA update (UNROOTABLE)... isnt that sharing proprietary info??), root tricks, and hacks to run on your test phone? you dont sound like a dev.. or a true community member for that fact - or a tester if you are hacking your test phone - couldnt THAT get you fired????????????? a rougue tester it seems.... you know your suposed to be testing your phone UN MODIFIED right?? not hacking it....

why are you really here if you are not part of this community - which strives to have new info on the phone?

Your clearly not doing your job if you are trying to hack a device you are supposed to be testing updates on....

I take offense to that because all your doing is delaying the updates for the rest of us by not doing your job

DUH. That is why I am not going to get rid of it. I think that is why a few of the above individuals are pissed at me. They want me to try to reflash and I need to test it.

Man why would I be asking for help here. I need to get root back and I don't want to loose everything again. I have gone back and yes I can get to root under the older version but not this new one. I guess I will wait till everyone else runs into this problem and I will see how they fix it. I have been trying to root the phone for some time over the last day and nothing. The fixes are minor but trust me worth keeping. Oh well. I have tried every possible combo and nothing.

why do you "NEED" root if you supposedly are a "tester" evaluating an unmodified version?

this is the subject that you have been unclear about. you say YOU have the update, you are a tester, you cant tell anyone about it. but yet you are here trying to hack it...

awfully confusing .. and I dont think anyone here is mad necessarily, probably more just wondering what the hell you are trying to say.

I love when they flip flop back and forth and then they dont know what they are saying.

i'm on jagar 1.6.2 and don't see an update either...

I read somewhere that you may get update alerts that are most likely false and you should ignore them. It seems to me you wouldn't want to update a modded ROM before the chief says he's reheated it. :D

Frankly I cant see them pushing this new boot animation to everyones Incredibles boasting the 3.7" AMOLED screen when half of the Incredibles out there won't even have AMOLED screens....

After testing I went ahead and tried to downgrade. No luck. It fails when trying. Tried it multiple times with different files

Update: The reason it will not downgrade is the message I am getting is the newer version is older. They must check now.

That could be a problem. I guess we will have to stay away from accepting the update. Especially if we want to ever go back

Either you're full of yourself and read thats the current problem the EVO is having when you try to downgrading or you have the newest firmware.

I dont think you have the newest firmware because if i was a tester you should have known from the beginning this would have patched downgrading.
