New Update?

I received 2 text messages - one late 11/9 PM, and the other a couple hours on 11/10 early AM. I'm running Cognition 2.3 beta(something i forget). The content of the messages was exactly the same.

That's the reason why I just went ahead and went with Cognition. I never could get it to install the factory update - even after running Odin3 and reverting back to stock.

Sure - I'll just ring them up and tell them I got the text message and that I'm running Cognition 2.3 which includes Froyo so I'm not sure what type of update they would be providing me

And while you're at it, ask them about GPS and random shutdowns. Reply will be the same in all cases. Useless.

I've received it also, on JH7, and have only had the phone for a couple of weeks, and not rooted. My fingers are crossed.

I believe this lends itself to my notion that they just rebooted a backed up text server, as I believe I received the class action text at least a month ago.

The Froyo update is like a Mythological creature , we wont know it actually exists until we see it for ourselves .

Got to "Settings", "Applications", "Manage applications". When in "Manage applications", hit the menu key and select "filter". Once in "filter" mode select all. Now look for "Device management" and access it. When in "Device management" hit "Clear data".

Now you will need to reboot the phone. Once the phone reboots, wait a couple minutes and check for updates.

Guys I have some news, today after my jury duty I stopped by the local AT&T store and asked someone there. And she told me..... NOTHING. lol. She had no idea, was as clueless as all of us.
