That's the reason why I just went ahead and went with Cognition. I never could get it to install the factory update - even after running Odin3 and reverting back to stock.Ditto, though I don't have JH7 yet because I'm one of the people who keep getting to 50% and reading "install is failed".
Has anyone tried calling AT&T to ask them about the text?

Sure - I'll just ring them up and tell them I got the text message and that I'm running Cognition 2.3 which includes Froyo so I'm not sure what type of update they would be providing meThat sounds way too logical. How would the rumor mill survive?![]()

I received a message also..but nothing fun..referencing the ATT Classaction Lawsuit.
Got to "Settings", "Applications", "Manage applications". When in "Manage applications", hit the menu key and select "filter". Once in "filter" mode select all. Now look for "Device management" and access it. When in "Device management" hit "Clear data".
Now you will need to reboot the phone. Once the phone reboots, wait a couple minutes and check for updates.
cant find device management??

After selecting>filter mode>all, it will appear in the list.
No txt msg for me, same as JH7.![]()
Guys I have some news, today after my jury duty I stopped by the local AT&T store and asked someone there. And she told me..... NOTHING. lol. She had no idea, was as clueless as all of us.
