If you go in settings and accounts and then tap on your google account, sync your contacts and have Google back them up. When you add your Google account to your S3 choose the option to restore settings. They will restore on your Galaxy S3 too. Also, check in to our Galaxy S3 forums.

If you have them backed up to your sd card rather than to your Google account, you could tap the menu key while in the contacts menu and select import/export
