hello guys just upgrade from tb to nexus
i got some problem can't find out how to fix it wondering if anyone could help

1. when i go on web the webpage always go to mobile view wondering if there is a setting to just turn it off so that i dont have to keep click request for desktop view for web page.

(thunderbolt has the option to always use desktop view)

2. my pandora with widget loading extremely slow even when i have 4g or full bar of 3g. and i use bluetooth with pandora in my car but when i shut off the car sometime the pandora auto pulse sometime it doesn't. the worst part is that sometime pandora just randomly turns on start to play music by it self. it happend at least 4times with out me touching anything the phone was sitting in my pocket.
i never had these problem with my TB

3. anyway i can put a wallpaper on the lock screen and a different wallpaper on the home page?

4. is there a main setting for the calling?
my problem is that with the nexus when i trying to call someone in my contact i have to hit search then search up the name of the person then call

with the thunderbolt i can just dial the name on the number pad.
lets say i want call allen on the number pad i can just hit 2(A)5(L)5(L)
and it will show witch ever the name then i can click on the name and call

this seems for me are way much easier than go to a completely different screen page so that i can search up the name

if anyone could help that would be great
again this is my 1st time ever use the android forum i hope i post it at the right place

1. From within your browser, go to SETTINGS, ADVANCED, and change your USER AGENT to "desktop"
2. I don't use Pandora
3. There is an app called Widget Locker that allows you to have different wallpaper for your lockscreen
4. I think that's a customization from HTC; Motorola is like that too. I'd recommend going through the Market and trying out a few of the replacement dialer apps, to see if any of them have that type of functionality.

About 4), you can specify a group for each contact (family, friends, etc), so you'll be able to find them easily in the Groups tab (the one on the left) in the contacts app. Also, if there's some people you will call or message frequently, i'd suggest putting them directly on the Homescreen (contact widget, the small one). You can even put many of them in a single folder.

4. I would get away from the notion that you head to the dialpad screen to make a call. You can initiate a call from anywhere on the phone. Instead of the phone app, touch the search bar on the home screen and start tapping letters of the name.

You can also press the star button in your contact to make them a faveorite so when you are in the phone app they will appear at the top of your contact list with big pictures for quick access.

I use pandora, and have to say there seem to be some issues with the app. Probably not fully compatible with ICS yet. I also had the TB, and I share your feelings about the pandora app.

As for the Pandora thing...Can't say that I've ever run into an issue with mine, other than one thing - Sometimes when I'm listening, and a call comes through, Pandora will pause as expected. However, there have been times it won't resume after the call, and when I go back into the app, it reloads the station completely, instead of just letting me hit Play on the song that was playing. I've even extended out the Pause time-out in the settings, with no change. I'd probably chalk it up to not being fully ICS ready, but 95% of the time, it's been ok. But there HAVE been times when I've hit Pandora, and it might start loading and not finish immediately (usually if I'm switching between WiFi and data), so I'll say forget it, and load something else, instead of quitting out of the app. Then, when it DOES load, it'll start playing. Make sure you're hitting Menu>Quit to exit the app completely if you can, see if that eliminates that auto-starting.

The dial pad one, I feel ya. That was the first thing I missed. I used to use Go Contacts EX (which had a dialer as well) on my Thunderbolt, and it also did the dial-by-name. However, it seems to be buggy on the ICS, gives me errors all the time. I've switched to using the Dialer One app from the market, which does give that option from the keypad. So, now I can dial 666 for Mom. (horrible, I know..). Shortcuts are nice and all, but this feature is so handy to have. Someone pointed out that Dialer One hasn't been updated since March of last year, but I've had zero issues with it on ICS. Plus, you can customize the colors, so I turned mine very stock-like, since I love the look of the stock dialer.

Wow that is freaking awesome, never thought about even attempting that...thanks
