Help New Youtube app update doesn't show the scroll forward/backward loading bar

I updated my Youtube app a few days ago and I have to admit it's a huge improvement. The one thing that really bothers me about it though is that it doesn't show the scroll forward/backward loading bar when I put the video on full screen. At first I thought that's how it's supposed to be, but my friends with different android phones are still able to scroll through the video while on full screen. Is there some kind of setting I can change to fix this? My brother who has the same phone as me (Samsung S3) is having the same problem. I also looked through the reviews on the Google Play store and the people with S3s are also experiencing this too.

I know on my S3 when you turn the phone to go full screen the controls are hidden by default. If you just tap anywhere on the screen the time bar, pause, share, etc. info appears.

Just tried it on s3 and it did take a couple of attempts but you can drag the lil white dot

I have an s3 too and I don't see any way to get the timeline to pull up when watching full screen. This is strange. Looking to hear from more people on this.

I just got an S3 and noticed this... glad I'm not the only one, I thought it was strange I had to be in portrait to get a seek scrollbar. I hope they fix this; other than this weird quirk, I really like the update.

You might have to try to tap the edge of the video, between several different roms I haven't experienced what everyone else is. Portrait and Landscape. YouTube is up to date too.
