Help Newbie needs bluetooth help

Hi All total newbie here, just purchased my M860 the other day. For the money it's tons better than my old dumb phone. I have been trying, without success to pair my LG HBM-310 headset.

I have tried everything, I will go back to Metro PCS if no one here can help.

Am I missing something??

Thanks All and this is a great site!

Hi! You say you have tried everything so I presume you have followed all the steps correctly. My Ascend paired up immediately with my Plantronics Explorer 380/390 Series.

To go over how to pair it up again:

1. Wireless & Networks

2. Bluetooth settings

- type in the name of your device (bluetooth)

- make sure your device is fully charged (bluetooth)

- enable discoverable

- turn on Bluetooth

It should pair up immediately. If it doesn't you may have a compatibility problem or you might have to do a factory reset.

Does it pair up with the headset that came with the Ascend?

Good luck!

Hey THANKS Jazz!! I guess I was doing something wrong, but in the end I am now connected. I really do like the phone, but wished the owners manual went into some depth on the phone. It is way too generic.

Again thanks

You're welcome Run! :)

PS...A Cricket salesman told me yesterday that the Ascend has an upgrade coming this quarter. Cricket is trying to push it up so it may happen sooner, she said.

Jazziete's instructions helped me except I found I had to press the menu button and select "scan for devices" in order for my M860 to pair up. Just in case someone else gets stuck like I did. Thanks all.
