Nexus 4 on T-mobile, anyone?

Instead of ordering a micro sim cutter for $10, I just ordered a micro sim from T-Mobile today for 99 cents.

My sim cutter came in..and stuck the card in and BAM micro sim...

..does it look right?

I checked on getting a micro-sim before the S3 came out and couldn't because it was only available for contract, or so I was told. I just ordered a pre-paid micro-sim yesterday from Tmo for 99 cents. I already have the monthly $30 4G plan. Anyone know if I can go online and switch that plan to the micro-sim?

It looks about right compared to the one I had TMo store cut for me except for the burr. May need to file it down a bit. If you have a spare SIM I would hold off on cutting that one with that tool.

After searching Tmo support I found the answer to my question. I can switch the plan from my current sim to the micro-sim. Just not sure I can do it online. I'll visit a Tmo store when its time and see if they can do it.

For those worried about no LTE and wondering about the speed of T-Mobile's HSPA+, this is from a review I was just reading on Business Insider.

On the other hand, things may not be so bad if you're a T-Mobile customer. I tested the Nexus 4 on T-Mobile's 4G network in New York, and the speeds were in line with what I've seen using LTE on AT&T and Verizon. Very impressive.

May go from VM to T-Mobile. But my question is say I use all 5GBs of 4G data do I get brought down to 3G or 2G?

Read that somewhere. Also, they said it'd be confusing for the layman to deal with both internal and external memory. Bull. I currently use a 16gb card now so it really wouldn't be different.

I wonder why Google doesn't like MicroSD cards.

I've heard any number of reasons, from confusion over where things are stored to cost to wanting people to use cloud services. Probably it's a combination of everything. In any case, it looks like non-expandable physical memory is here to stay with the Nexus line.

Patent issue

We got tired of seeing OEMs include many GB of internal storage for music, while users were still running out of space for apps and data. This approach lets us merge everything on one volume, which is way better.

Wish there was a 32GB version.

I was thinking the same...until I spent the past 8 days uploading all of my music to google play. Now I will run just a few GB of music for road trip moments when I don't have data. Same for a few movies.

It's the future.
