32 GB and 3000mah battery for $399? Please be true.

I don't think we should get our hopes up. Just about every spec has been leaked. Everyone has shown disappointment with the battery, and now conveniently the battery capacity changes with a higher end model? I doubt it.

Wish storage and battery were what I was worrying about. Stupid frakkin' verizon...

Well on the bright side, I will have a couple of months to find out all the problems and/or get through all the bad devices (I had to RMA my gnex like 4 times until I got one with a good screen and radios that didn't drop constantly) before I jump ship to AT&T :D

I'll survive with a small battery since I'll still have my Z Ultra on me to use. Two devices is the way to go, that's twice the battery life :)

JunBringer,

Two phones huh? That Z ultra is huge and must be a real beast. I read Motorola is making a 6.3 in phone for early 2014. That has me very interested. I always wanted a Nexus phablet and this phone will be the closest thing to it. I'm still getting the Nexus though.

You didn't miss a leak. The 3000 mAh battery is just a fanboys pipe dream.

Do you have sources for that? Particularly the difference in battery.

The FCC filing documents as well as the manual for the 32 GB clearly had the battery labeled as 2300mAh.

I'd just like to know if you're speculating or if I missed another leak

An unsubstantiated editorial article on CNET where this person is regurgitating other bad rumors is not enough to make stausd eat his/her words IMHO. ;)

Using the price model of the Nexus 4, I would believe that the 16GB would sell for 299 and the 32GB would sell for 349. However nothing official has shown that the 32GB would have a bigger battery. As much as I want it to be true, increasing capacity by 700 mAh is just simply too much without changing dimensions of the phone.

I'm not going to believe an "anonymous" source when the service manual for the phone says otherwise.

Adding capacity to the battery would require a new phone body, so why wouldn't they make the option available for the 16gb as well?

How does that prove anything? In the second sentence they even say they are essentially reposting the exact same thing as the phone arena article. This tells us nothing other than the fact that if one person reports false information, multiple news outlets will report the same crap.

it's not news outlets, they would verify a story. But techblogs don't want to be the only ones not saying the same thing, why let wether it's correct get in the way of a bandwagon.

well this gives a little more credence to the 3000 mAh battery... still kinda iffy

EDIT: they pulled the link lol... it was a fake

Gollyhoppers. These rumours are rather exciting. Just won an S4, currently have an S3 after losing previous S4. Can sell both, buy a N5 and a nice holiday. Sounds tremendous.

Providing that these rumours are true, of course.

Technically the service manual is for the model thought to be an international variant. Still, it seems like a wonderful but unlikely rumor.

It would make sense that they're splitting the models between north America and the rest of the world. They did this with the lte version of the nexus 7 after all. It does depress me a bit though that the potential NA version doesn't at least support popular European hspa frequencies like the nexus 4 does.

That's why I like android police. While they'll get involved in rumors sometimes, theyll make it very clear what the source was and won't repost stories from another site without at least doing their own digging.

A good example from middle of last month: (hidden because of language in the title)

Some other outlets reporting it hadnt even bothered to contact Spigen

I'm onboard for the new nexus as well. Still love my gnex, even though I have charging issues ever since I was caught in a torrential downpour at the zoo.

Would be interesting if true, not exactly a long wait until Tuesday to find out. Though it's a little concerning that press invites haven't supposedly been sent.
