This would be in line with previous Nexus device/OS announcements. A grain of salt indeed, but at least consistency gives it some believability.
Isn't the 14th Columbus Day?

One person says it fits great. Then another person asked if it was a demo unit. They go on to say it's a "Vapor Edition Nexus 5". What is Vapor edition?
SPIGEN said:"Due to recent leaks we’re anticipating a Nexus 5 announcement shortly so we’ve put up place-holder listings in advance... 10/31 is just an estimated date that we’ve decided upon since we believe the Nexus 5 will be announced early October."
this looks interesting, looks like another leak on the Nexus 5
What Looks Like A Drunken Rager Yields Awkward Photos And Videos Of The Next LG Nexus, Fixed Lockscreen Clock Font
Looks like the button arrangement might be the same as the Gnex, not sure how the N4 was laid out. The 2nd vid shows him pressing power at the upper right side of the phone. So goodbye back buttons ala LG G2. Which I'd consider a positive. I have the G2 and although I do think I'll get used to them eventually, I'd prefer the standard volume/power button arrangement. If it ain't broke...
I accidentally hit the volume button on my GNex all the time. I never really need to hit them once I get them set to the right spot though, so back buttons sound great.
As far as the power button I hit that accidentally sometimes too whether it is on the side like my Gnex or on top like my Droid X. Not sure how I'd feel about it on the back, but if the phone did the tap on screen thing like the G2 or the flip over/out of pocket thing like the X it wouldn't matter much.
Having been there for the mighty Droid Incredible & Galaxy Nexus threads, I can't wait to be a part of the Nexus 5 thread.
I wasn't there for the Incredible thread, but the GNex thread was pretty epic > 88K posts.
Seeing as we now know practically everything about the Nexus 5 I don't think this thread will reach such epic proportions Oh, and there's no HanSolo to keep it going, or Steven and his mysterious source.
WiFi Certs for a 'C' and an 'S' model
Nexus 5 receives its WiFi certification, Nexus 5c and 5s spotted?
Hmmm. CDMA and GSM?
Just a guess. Probably not.
I'm just hoping the S isnt "Sprint"
