Help Nexus 6 User Setup Help (How do I do this? How to setup that?)

Go to menu>settings>language & input>voice input>enhanced google service (tap on gear icon)>"OK Google" detection and make sure always on is selected.

As for the screen staying off, i recall some early issues with the proximity sensor when the N6 was first released, but i never saw any of the problems. Did you buy this phone new or was it second hand?
 
I bought it new. I let all the ota updates install I haven't had the screen black out since. As for the OK Google i have all that on. I think is the Google app since they since they updated it. Now I'm just having issues with my WiFi being real slow on the nexus.
 
Does anyone know a way to set a different home screen, other than the leftmost, as your default (primary) home screen? (The screen to which you'll be taken when you press the Home button.) I've tried living with the far left as the default, but preferred the old arrangement in which my middle screen was the main home screen.
 
Third party launcher will work for that

Having WiFi issues, WiFi is unusable. Every other device on the network working flawless.
